May 22nd - Long one with LOTS of info

New Moon Party and Midnight Showing
The New Moon movie is in full production (the cast and crew are actually in Italy filming as we speak). That being said, it is time for Channy and I to start planning the New Moon party!

Because the Twilight party was such a huge success, we would like to double the amount of guests for New Moon. We are looking at about 100 guests. Before we reserve a room to accommodate 100 fans, we need to make sure we can fill it. To sweeten the deal, we have also reserved an entire theater for the midnight showing. Yes, that is right, we got our own theater. No more worries about getting a ticket with a decent seat. We have you covered.

Below are some of the details we have so far on the party and movie. I would very much appreciate receiving a head count from all of those who would like to come to the party and the movie. You do not have to come to both.

New Moon Party Details
Date: Thursday, November 19th
Time: TBD
Location: TBD
Cost: $20.00 (this is just for the party, dinner will be served)
Money due by November 1st, 2009

New Moon Movie Details
Date: Thursday, November 19th
Time: between 11:00-11:30 pm, show will begin at 12:00 am
Location: The District in South Jordan
Cost: $10.00
Money due by November 1st, 2009

If you could provide me the following information, it would be MUCH appreciated.

Example:
Your name: Bella Swan

If you are interested in coming to this party and/or the movie (and who wouldn't be), please send me an email so I can get you on the list! ericafitton@comcast.net

New Moon News
EW.com has a peek at their upcoming issue, where they get an on-set peek at New Moon with exclusive photos and interviews:

“Of course it’s different,” says Kristen Stewart. Okay, maybe it was silly to ask if things had changed since she filmed Twilight a year ago. New Moon, the second movie adapted from Stephenie Meyer’s novels, is shooting in Vancouver, Canada, instead of Oregon; fans are now showing up in droves; and director Chris Weitz (The Golden Compass) has taken the reins. In the movie, Bella (Stewart) has been abandoned by her vampire love, Edward (Robert Pattinson), but she hears his voice in her thoughts, even as she finds herself drawn to her friend Jacob (Taylor Lautner). “When you get broken up with, it really is the worst thing in the world,” says Weitz. “Meyer gives a kind of supernatural context to people’s real feelings, which sums up what we all go through.”

Happy birthday, Bella! In this EW exclusive photo, the movie’s newly 18-year-old heroine has been thrown against a rose-covered table by her beloved, Edward. Readers will know his intentions were honorable: He was trying to protect Bella (and her paper cut!) from the vampire Jasper. “The whole cast is reading the book and wanting to get it right,” says Weitz (center, with Stewart, assistant director Mike Topoozian, and makeup artist Robin Mathews). “They want to deliver on the promise these books make to the readers.”

One of director Weitz’s creative challenges is Edward’s long absence in the novel: “Rob was the first guy to say to me, ‘You know, you don’t really need to have too much of me in this film.’ I don’t want him too present, so his apparition will be a subtle, flitting effect — clearly a reflection of Bella’s will and desire to see him.”

“I’m telling Bella not to be fearful of death. It’s inevitable and painless,” says Edi Gathegi, who returns in New Moon as the somewhat mysterious vampire Laurent, in this EW exclusive photo. “He was bad in Twilight, but still had some compassion. Let’s just say he’s not conflicted anymore.”
